Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree Course is conducted at Alwar Pharmacy College from 2004-2005 with an annual intake of 60 seats and State Government of Rajasthan and All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi (AICTE). Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi (PCI) has approved the courses under section 12 of Pharmacy Act, 1948 for the registration of the students after their degree course as Registered Pharmacists for various services of the profession.

Alwar Pharmacy College has the traditional educational precedence of I.E.T Group, a renowned academic Institutions. To inculcate the prominence and reliance developed by the preceding organizations of the All India Society for Advance Education & Research, the Chairman, Dr. Vishnu Kumar Agarwal, a Physician by Profession, has established Alwar Pharmacy College in the year 2004.
B. Pharmacy is a professional degree course affiliated to Rajasthan University of Health Sciences conducted for duration of Four (4) academic years. The profession of Pharmacy is focused to the health and well being of the common people. This professional course has diverse scopes in the employment from Community Pharmacist to Research Scientist. The Pharmacy Professionals play vital and assorted role in the treatment of the diseases of the lives. In this modern world, a continual hunt for new molecules of drugs is required to struggle against many killer ailments. The Pharmacist is the group serves for the control and prevention of those disorders. The Pharmacists are the counselors of drugs and dosage forms, who can directly participate in assistance to Physician in the community service.
The other service scopes of these professionals are Formulation, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Drug Isolation from Natural Sources and Novel Drug Discovery by Synthetic Chemical Reactions, Regulatory Affairs, Drug Detailing, Pharmacokinetic, and Pharmacodynamic appraisal of drugs, Clinical Pharmacy, Hospital Pharmacy, Community Pharmacy and Teaching.
Admission Procedure
B. Pharmacy First Year (Full Time-04 Years)
The candidate must have passed Senior Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (Standard-XII of the Board or an examination recognized by the University as equivalent thereto) in all the optional subjects and the compulsory subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Mathematics / Biotechnology / Computer Science). Those who are appearing for final year examination may also apply.
B. Pharmacy Second Year (Full Time-03 Years)
The Lateral entry in B. Pharmacy second year is allowed to the students who have passed a Diploma in Pharmacy course with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from an AICTE and PCI approved institution. In addition to sanctioned intake at first year level, 10% of the sanctioned intake will be reserved for such lateral entry. The admission through lateral entry in B. Pharmacy second year shall be made as per the rules and directions of the central admission authority State Government. Those who are appearing for final year D. Pharmacy examination may also apply.
Allocation for the Admission is as follows
B. Pharmacy First Year (Full Time-04 Years)
- 85 seats are filled through Rajasthan Centralized Admission (Pharmacy) Board of RUHS, Jaipur.
- 15 seats are filled by Management Quota.
B. Pharmacy Second Year (Full Time-03 Years)
- 10 seats are filled at Second Year for Diploma Holders as Lateral Entry.
- 10%* of the approved intake (As per the latest academic amendments of RUHS, Jaipur)
M. Pharmacy (Full Time-02 Years in Four Semester)
As per the ordinances of the Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Jaipur for performing admission in all the affiliated Institutions of the University and the Institution shall advertise the admission notification in the website (http://www.ietpharmacy.com) and in the leading regional and national newspapers and receive the application forms from the eligible candidates and enable the admission of the students under the surveillance of the University.
Ph.D. in Pharmacy (Degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmacy)
With the ordinances of the Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Jaipur for performing admission in all the affiliated Research Institutions of the University as per the guidelines of the University Grants Commission of India.
